According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the rare disease “hantavirus” occurred on a cruise ship sailing in the territorial waters of the Atlantic Ocean, and 3 of them died, 2 were diagnosed, and 5 were classified as suspected patients.

 

This disease is mainly transmitted to humans by inhaling rat feces or urine particles, and is a rodent-mediated viral disease, causing flu-like symptoms and is fatal to 40% of infected people.

 

Symptoms appear up to 8 weeks after initial exposure, and human-to-human transmission is still known to be rare.

 

The Dutch “MV Hondius” was recently anchored off the Cape Verde Islands coast in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of West Africa, and the Spanish government and health authorities are looking for ways to evacuate patients on board.

 

It is reported that the Spanish Ministry of Health will take over the ship, which is scheduled to head to the Canary Islands.

이 병은 주로 쥐의 배설물이나 소변 입자를 흡입함으로써 사람에게 전염되는 것으로 설치류를 매개로 하는 바이러스 계열의 병인데, 독감과 유사한 증상을 유발하며 감염자 중 40%에게 치명적이다.

증상은 최초 노출 후 최대 8주 후에 나타나고 사람 간 전염은 여전히 ​​드문 것으로 알려져 있다.

네덜란드 국적의 ‘MV 혼디우스’호는 최근 서아프리카 연안 대서양의 카보베르데 제도 해안에 정박해 있는데 스페인 정부와 보건 당국은 선상에 있는 환자들을 대피시킬 방법을 찾고 있다.
