특히 저가 항공권과 수익성이 낮은 노선 축소가 대표적이다.

미국과 이란이 호르무즈 해협 개방에 합의하고 전쟁이 종식되더라도 이미 상반기 여행은 대개 정해져 있어 이와같은 항공 추세는 불가피하다.

앞으로 호르무즈 해협이 개방되더라도 해협 폐쇄로 묶여있던 기름이 유럽과 아시아의 고객들에게 도달하기까지는 몇 주가 걸린다.

근간 프랑스의 국제에너지기구(IEA)가 "향후 6주 안에 여러 유럽 국가들이 항공유 부족 사태에 직면할 수 있다"고 밝힌 것도 그 이유이다.

미국 CNN방송은 미국 4대 항공사인 유나이티드, 아메리칸, 델타, 사우스웨스트는 지난해 연료비로 하루 평균 약 1억 달러를 지출했다고 보도했다.

미국이 세계 최대 석유 산유국임에도 미국 항공사의 인기 휴양지 항공권이 이달 초보다 74% 상승했다는 사실을 보더라도 세계 각국의 항공권이 기름난을 겪고 있다는 대표적인 선례이다.
